The Blazers season came to an ended Wednesday night following a well played 8-6 game. The Blazers wiggled their way out of a game in the first with a successful pickoff attempt by Joe Ficoturo, who also got the out at home when the runner at third attempted to score after the rundown. The Blazers scored 2 in the bottom of the first on a 2 out, 2 RBI single by Pete Hrousis. Pocono got 1 back in the top of the 2nd, only to be answered by another 2 run inning for the Blazers, this time courtesy of a 2 out single by AJ DiAddezio, a RBI triple by Luke Keitsock, and a RBI single by Troy Rabosky.

Pocono then got 1 back in the fifth, and took the lead in the 6th after plating 5 runs on 5 hits. The Blazers got 2 back in the bottom half following a Gabe Caucci walk, a Nate Lapp RBI triple, and a RBI fielders choice by AJ DiAdezzio, cutting the Blazer deficit to 7-6. Pocono added 1 more run in the top of the 7th and the Pocono bullpen shut out the Blazers the rest of the way.

A well played game by both teams and another great season by the Blazers, who finish 16-11-3. Thank you to all who followed us this year, all of our boosters, and the coaches and players continue to uphold the Blazer legacy.

Quakertown Blazers topped Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners 6-5 in game 1 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the sixth when Luke Keitsock hit a solo home run to right field.

Quakertown Blazers got on the board in the first inning after Nate Lapp hit a solo home run to right field.

Trehnon Hugo grounded into a double play, which helped Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners tie the game at one in the top of the second.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners took the lead in the top of the third. Ayden Ellis doubled, scoring one run, to give Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners the lead, 2-1.

In the bottom of the third inning, Quakertown Blazers went back into the lead after Troy Rabosky walked, Chase Shollenberger grounded into a fielder's choice, and Quakertown Blazers scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a single by Kaden Coyne, a double by Ellis, and a single by Alden Felker.

Nate Woodbury started on the mound for Quakertown Blazers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and one run over two innings, striking out two and walking three. Jamie McMynne started on the hill for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners. The right-handed pitcher allowed four hits and five runs over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking five. Nolan Walker pitched two and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball for Quakertown Blazers in relief. The lefty surrendered two hits, striking out three and walking none.

Lapp and Keitsock each collected two hits for Quakertown Blazers. Shollenberger, Lapp, Rabosky, Keitsock, and Eric Cross each drove in one run for Quakertown Blazers. Rabosky paced Quakertown Blazers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Quakertown Blazers turned two double plays in the game. Quakertown Blazers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Pete Hrousis had the most chances in the field with seven.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners accumulated 11 hits in the game. Ellis drove the middle of the lineup, leading Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Coyne, Ellis, Felker, and Roman Valvano each collected two hits for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners. Jack Mathis stole two bases. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners stole four bases in the game. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners turned one double play in the game.

In game two,

Zach Mayza drove in four runs on two hits to lead Quakertown Blazers past Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners 16-0 on Saturday at 600 W Mill St. Mayza hit a home run to right field in the first inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the first inning, scoring one.

Quakertown Blazers won thanks in part to 16 runs in the first inning. Eric Cross grounded out, scoring one run, Jackson Shollenberger singled, scoring one run, Glen Pysher tripled, scoring three runs, Mayza singled, scoring one run, Cross singled, scoring one run, Nate Lapp doubled, scoring two runs, Troy Rabosky singled, scoring one run, Pysher was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, an error scored two runs, and Mayza homered to right field, scoring three runs.

Peyton Shaw earned the win for Quakertown Blazers. The hurler surrendered two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking three. Ryder Bray took the loss for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners. The starting pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, giving up 13 runs on nine hits, striking out none and walking four.

Quakertown Blazers accumulated 11 hits in the game. Mayza, Luke Keitsock, and Cross each collected two hits for Quakertown Blazers. Pysher and Mayza each drove in four runs for Quakertown Blazers. Quakertown Blazers turned one double play in the game.

Jack Mathis and Roman Valvano were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners while hitting back-to-back.>

Quakertown Blazers were triumphant over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners 7-5 on Monday.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners were the first to get on the board in the first when Tyler Benick grounded out, scoring one run.

Nate Lapp had a RBI ground out, which helped Quakertown Blazers tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners took the lead in the top of the second. Nate Loch singled, scoring two runs, to give Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners the lead, 3-1.

Quakertown Blazers made the score 6-3 in the bottom of the fifth after Lapp drew a walk, scoring one run, Jackson Shollenberger singled, scoring two runs, and Harold Ivery III grounded out, scoring one run.

Trae Sanders began the game for Quakertown Blazers. The lefty gave up two hits and three runs (two earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking five. James Bottger started the game for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners. The starter allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Jadon Dormer, Joe Ficoturo, and Grant Fitzgerald each threw shutout innings for Quakertown Blazers in relief.

Quincy Esannason set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Quakertown Blazers with two hits in three at bats. Lapp and Shollenberger were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Quakertown Blazers. Zach Mayza led Quakertown Blazers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Quakertown Blazers turned one double play in the game.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners piled up nine hits in the game. Loch led Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Miners with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup.
